it is very important that you make my hair fancy.”
I declare decisively.
“What’s the occasion?” Mom asks.
“Tomorrow is the day when people will know
that I am as neat as Katie Keller.” I tell
her.
“Oh, I see.” Mom says. “Well,
before I make your hair fancy, sit with me on the
couch for a minute.”
The couch is where me and Mom go for important talks. |
